Role Summary:

Alpha Global is seeking a talented Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient server-side applications and APIs. The role requires expertise in database design, server logic, and performance optimization to support high-traffic systems. Candidates should have at least 5 years of professional experience working in backend development within cloud or enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust backend services and APIs to support web and mobile applications.
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries for both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Ensure application security, scalability, and high availability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Implement automated testing and conduct code reviews to ensure code quality.
• Monitor and troubleshoot backend performance issues and production bugs.
• Work within CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and delivery.
• Document backend architectures, APIs, and workflows.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong experience with API design and RESTful services. Certifications (Preferred)
• AWS Certified Developer – Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
• Oracle Certified Professional – Java SE Developer Technical Skills
• Programming Languages: Java, Python, Node.js, Go (any 2+)
• Frameworks: Spring Boot, Express.js, Django, Flask
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis
• Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
• Testing: JUnit, PyTest, Mocha
• Version Control: Git

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Knowledge of microservices architecture
• Familiarity with GraphQL APIs
