If this describes you, please apply to be our DevOps / SysAdmin Manager, charged with developing and managing the systems that support the Software Development lifecycle including the deployment of a CI/CD pipeline to support seamless rollout of solutions.
- To reliably deploy solutions in the cloud, ensuring a seamless hand-off of code releases between software engineering (Dev) and IT Operations (Ops).
- Provide leadership as the resident Systems Administrator and DevOps expert and support the team in the development and use of relevant technologies.
- Develop and implement security model and architecture for ensuring code modules are inherently safe from security vulnerabilities within different attack vectors by a rigorous examination and testing for security flaws and action recommendations for improving security at the code module level.
- Design and deploy SharePoint intranet to enhance Developer coordination and collaboration.
- Design and deploy various tools to manage design documents, planning materials, project plans, Dev/Test environments, Code Review templates and Test scripts, to ensure lifecycle support for the Software Development process.
- Manage the DevOps process to ensure code modules and software solutions are rigorously tested, reviewed, signed-off and packaged for release through an automated CI/CD pipeline.
- Setup of infrastructure and resources required to host software services as a series of cloud native applications and services hosted within a cloud agnostic framework and automate spinning up and down of these services.
- Implement and manage a cloud native host service independent of popular cloud service providers and also be able to deploy our application on Azure, AWS, GCloud, or other cloud platforms, whilst ensuring optimal service uptime based on customer SLAs.
- Design security architecture and implement systems to ensure host systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
- Design datacenter observability monitoring tools to provide information required to troubleshoot and resolve cloud host issues that arise.
- Coordinate with cloud host provider and other technical agents to manage internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
- Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.
- Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups.
- Transfer knowledge to the team on the relevant technologies required to perform the assignment.
- Produce design architecture and technical specification documentation for all DevOps / SysAdm processes, systems and platforms.
- Stay abreast of developments in software lifecycle management, cloud technologies, computing equipment, programming languages and techniques, provide insight into cutting edge software approaches, architectures, and vendors, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal and professional networks and participating in professional organizations.
