**Job Description: Remote Chartered Accountant for Healthcare Practice**
**Position**: Remote EXPERIENCED CHARTERED Accountant

We are a reputable mental healthcare practice dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients both remotely via telemedicine and in-person. We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Accountant to join our team remotely. As a vital member of our operational backbone, you’ll manage financial reporting, oversee healthcare billing, and maintain compliance with complex regulations in the mental health and medical sectors.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Perform general bookkeeping and accounting duties
- Manage financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Handle depreciation schedules and asset management
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports - including cash flows
- Conduct regular reconciliations and audits
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure meticulous attention to detail in all financial transactions
-Perform day-to-day bookkeeping duties, including recording financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and reconciling accounts.
-Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members (Healthcare Billing Team) and clients to provide financial insights and support.
**Qualifications**:
● Required: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
● Required: Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience (in a healthcare, medical, or mental health setting a plus) up to trial balance.
● Required: Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, DrChrono, or equivalent)
● Required: CPA, CMA, or relevant certification (or actively pursuing)
●Strong understanding of depreciation in bookkeeping
● Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant financial processes
● Analytical mindset with high attention to detail
● Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
